Now you can earn our highest interest rate on your free Kasasa Cash Checking account.  You also have the option of pairing your Kasasa Cash Checking account with our Kasasa Saver Savings account to earn even more.  The interest and ATM fee refunds earned on your Kasasa Cash Checking will automatically be transferred to your Kasasa Saver account at the end of each statement cycle. Both the Kasasa Cash Checking and the Kasasa Saver accounts are free accounts with no minimum balance qualifications or monthly service charges.

However, by choosing to have Kasasa Saver Savings linked to Kasasa Cash with Saver Checking, you understand that the interest earned in your Kasasa Cash with Saver Checking account is automatically transferred into your Kasasa Saver account at the end of the statement cycle and therefore does not remain in your Kasasa Cash with Saver Checking account and does not compound. Additionally, you understand that the interest amount earned in the Kasasa Saver Savings account may be less than the interest amount earned in the Kasasa Cash with Saver Checking account.

If qualifications are met for the qualification period, then the customer will earn an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 1.76% on their balances up to $15,000.00 and on the portion of their balance over $15,000.00, they will earn an APY of 0.25%. The customer will also be refunded any foreign ATM surcharge fees up to $20.00 per statement period.

All three of the following qualifications must be met during the qualification period to qualify for the rewards:

  • 1) Post and clear at least 10 Debit card purchases (not including ATM withdrawals or Returns on Card)
  • 2) Post and clear at least one direct deposit or automatic debit (Online bill payments can count towards this requirement)
  • 3) Receive monthly statements electronically (Customer will have to provide valid email address at account opening).

No! You can apply for your Kasasa Cash Checking account online. If you live in West Virginia and one of the following counties:  Wood County, Pleasants County, Wirt County, Ritchie County, Jackson County or Washington County in Ohio.  After we receive your application, a Customer Service Representative will call to confirm your application and the account will be opened upon verification of identity.

The qualifications must be met each qualification period to receive the rewards for that statement period. To ensure you qualify for the rewards, all needed transactions (Debit card, etc.) should be posted and cleared to the account a few days before the statement cycle cuts off. If the 11th falls on a holiday or weekend, all transactions need to be posted and cleared by no later than the last business day before the 11th. (Example: if the 11th falls on a Monday, all transactions need to be posted and cleared by Friday the 8th.)

The account will still operate as a free checking account, and the entire balance will receive an APY of .25% if the qualifications are not met. Also, no ATM refunds will be given if the qualifications are not met. There are no monthly or minimum balance charges on this account!

All transactions need to be posted and cleared by no later than the business day before the last day of the statement cycle. The statement cycle ends on the 11th of the month, if the 11th falls on a weekend or holiday the statement will cut off the following business day. In a normal cycle where the 11th falls on a business day, transactions must be posted and cleared by the 10th. If the 11th is on a holiday or weekend, all transactions need to be posted and cleared by the last business day (weekday) before the 11th. If you are only doing the minimum transactions needed to qualify and your last transactions post and clear on the 11th, we do not pay the rewards. Any transactions that post and clear on the 11th (or day the statement cycle ends) will count towards the next month’s qualifications.

No. While the interest rate can change on this account, the account is designed to pay a high APY to those who meet the qualifications.

Interest is calculated using the daily balance method, which applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day.

If the qualifications are met, the full balance up to $15,000 will receive the APY of 1.76% and any portion of the balance over $15,000 will receive a 0.25% APY. The interest will be paid in a lump sum at the end of the statement cycle.

Your rewards will be credited to your account on the last day of the statement cycle, this includes your interest and any ATM surcharge fee refunds.

As a thank you for choosing Kasasa Cash Checking or Kasasa Cash with Saver Checking, you will receive your Rewards for the first statement period whether or not you meet the qualifications for that qualification period.

There is NO fee to use your debit card to make purchases. Some banks may charge a surcharge fee if you withdraw money from their ATM machine, but if you meet the qualifications, you will receive a refund for those fees up to $20 per statement cycle. Any individual ATM fee of $5.00 or more must be brought into one of our offices to receive the refund at the end of the cycle after qualifications are met.

You will receive check images back with your statement, you just access it online, rather than receiving it in the mail.
