1 When monthly qualifications are met, you receive 3% cash back on debit card purchases that post and clear to account during monthly qualification cycle up to a total cash back of $6.00 per monthly qualification cycle (up to $200.00 in debit card purchases). Qualifying transactions must post and clear to the account during monthly qualification cycle. Transactions may take one or more banking days from the date transaction was made to post and clear to the account. ATM-processed transactions do not count towards qualifying debit card transactions. “Monthly Qualification Cycle” means a period beginning one business day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one business day prior to the close of the current statement cycle. If qualifications are not met during the monthly qualification cycle, the account will still function as a free account. No minimum balance required.
** Domestic ATM fees incurred during qualification cycle will be reimbursed up to $20 per statement cycle if qualifications are met within monthly qualification cycle. ATM receipt must be presented for reimbursement of an individual ATM fee of $5 or higher. If qualifications are not met during the monthly qualification cycle, the account will still function as a free account, but it will not earn the ATM refunds for that time period. Rate tiers are as follows: 0.76% APY on savings balances up to $50,000, and 0.25% APY on portion of savings balance over $50,000 each qualification cycle that qualifications are met. If qualifications are not met, full savings balances will earn 0.25% APY for the statement cycle. Rates are variable and can change at any time. Savings account inactivity fees may reduce earnings on savings account. Statement cycle ends on the 11th of the month. If the 11th falls on a holiday or weekend, the statement cycle will end on the first business day after the 11th. The qualification cycle begins on the 11th or the last day of the current statement cycle and ends on the last business day before the 11th. All qualifying transactions must be posted and cleared by no later than the last business day before the 11th.

When monthly qualifications are met, you receive 3% cash back on debit card point of sale purchases (excluding returns and ATM transactions) that post to and clear your account during the monthly qualification cycle up to a total cash back of $6.00 per monthly qualification cycle. The customer will also be refunded any foreign ATM surcharge fees up to $20.00 per statement period.

All three of the following qualifications must be met during the qualification period to qualify for the rewards:

  • 1) Post and clear at least 10 Debit card purchases (not including ATM withdrawals or Returns on Card)
  • 2) Post and clear at least one direct deposit or automatic debit (Online bill payments can count towards this qualification)
  • 3) Receive monthly statements electronically (Customer will have to provide valid email address at account opening).

No! You can apply for your Kasasa Cash Back Checking account online if you live in West Virginia and one of the following counties: Wood County, Pleasants County, Wirt County, Ritchie County, Jackson County or Washington County in Ohio. After we receive your application, a Customer Service Representative will call to confirm your application and the account will be opened upon verification of identity.

The qualifications must be met each qualification period to receive the rewards for that statement period. To ensure you qualify for the rewards, all needed transactions (Debit card, etc.) should be posted and cleared to the account a few days before the statement cycle cuts off. If the 11th falls on a holiday or weekend, all transactions need to be posted and cleared by no later than the last business day before the 11th. (Example: if the 11th falls on a Monday, all transactions need to be posted and cleared by Friday the 8th.)

The account will still operate as a free checking account. No ATM refunds will be given if the qualifications are not met. There are no monthly or minimum balance charges on this account!

All transactions need to be posted and cleared by no later than the business day before the last day of the statement cycle. The statement cycle ends on the 11th of the month, if the 11th falls on a weekend or holiday the statement will cut off the following business day. In a normal cycle where the 11th falls on a business day, transactions must be posted and cleared by the 10th. If the 11th is on a holiday or weekend, all transactions need to be posted and cleared by the last business day (weekday) before the 11th. If you are only doing the minimum transactions needed to qualify and your last transactions post and clear on the 11th, we do not pay the rewards. Any transactions that post and clear on the 11th (or day the statement cycle ends) will count towards the next month’s qualifications.

Your rewards will be credited to your account on the last day of the statement cycle, this includes your cash back and any ATM surcharge fee refunds.

As a thank you for choosing Kasasa Cash Back Checking, you will receive your rewards for the first statement period whether or not you meet the qualifications for that qualification period.

There is NO fee to use your debit card to make purchases. Some banks may charge a surcharge fee if you withdraw money from their ATM machine, but if you meet the qualifications, you will receive a refund for those fees up to $20 per statement cycle. Any individual ATM fee of $5.00 or more must be brought into one of our offices to receive the refund at the end of the cycle after qualifications are met.

You will receive check images back with your statement, you just access it online, rather than receiving it in the mail.

Absolutely! You only need to have a valid email address in order for us to send your statement notifications, but you can pull the statement from wherever you have internet access.

There is NO minimum balance required for this account, and there is NO minimum balance needed to open the account.
